The Northampton Town Football Club Community Trust projecr Multiply - Winning With Numbers has been put forward for the #MoreThanFootball 2024 Award.
The #MoreThanFootball Action Weeks are a global campaign which allows the European football community to showcase the impact of their social responsibility activities and programmes.
The Northampton Town Community Trust’s Tackling Loneliness project won the #MoreThanFootball Award in 2022.
The aim of Multiply is to support adults and children throughout Northamptonshire in developing confidence in numeracy and enhancing life opportunities.
Multiply supports the community across four projects, including Winning With Numbers, which enables parents and children to improve their numeracy skills across 10 weeks in after-school clubs.
Kerri Collins enrolled in Winning With Numbers hoping to improve her confidence in mathematics, and she was delighted with the positive impact the project had on her life.
“I enjoyed attending weekly sessions with Ygor Santos, and I found them very beneficial," he said.
“My son attended with me, and it helped him socialise as well as improve at maths.
“We thoroughly enjoyed it, and his mental health has improved so much.”
