Club Doctor

Northampton Town Football Club is recruiting for the position of Club Doctor

We are seeking to appoint a qualified doctor with relevant sporting/football qualifications to join Northampton Town Football Club as the Club Doctor.

The Role

The role includes match day attendance for all first team home matches at Sixfields Stadium, Northampton and also to be on hand to offer medical advice, expertise and support as required in liaison with club medical staff.
The role outside of matches is not expected to impact too much on any existing commitments. However, attendance will be required at the club’s premises on up to two occasions per week for appointments with first team players including medical screening during player medicals, to provide referral letters, meet with club medical staff across first team and academy and to provide support and advice to the club's medical staff.
The Club Doctor will also support the club’s academy by providing consultations to academy players on an appointment basis upon referral from the academy medical staff and assist with medical screening processes.
The Club Doctor will liaise with club medical and administrative staff in relation to the cardiac screening of both first team and academy players.
To understand and comply with the FA Anti-Doping Regulations and WADA List of Prohibited Substances & Methods.
Maintain accurate records of any medical interactions with players and staff and associated use of electronic notes system.
Excellent knowledge of sports and exercise medicine and strong clinical assessment skills.
Understand the needs and requirements of a football squad.
To assist in the development and implementation of best medical practice protocols, including the club's Emergency Action Plans.

Required Qualifications (FA and EFL Regulations)
Licence to practice by the GMC
Diploma in Sports Medicine or equivalent higher professional qualification
Continue a programme of CPD as determined from time to time by the Sporting Governing Bodies
Hold a valid Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF) qualification or equivalent or be able to be enrolled on a course

Required to hold Medical Indemnity Insurance

Casual Academy Skills Centre Coaches

Northampton Town Football Club Academy is looking to recruit a number of casual Skills Centre Coaches to work with ages 5-11 year olds in a professional, fun environment.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Delivering of age specific syllabus to players in their charge.
• Communicating effectively with all team members and reporting back to the Skills Centre Coordinator.
• Working effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent coaching.

Personal Specification
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
• Proven coaching experience.
• An ability to differentiate tasks based on ability and key stages of player/child development.
• An approachable manner towards young people.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with other department members and coaching staff.
• Willing to work flexible and unsociable hours including evenings and weekends.

Essential Qualities and Qualifications:
• FA Level 1
• Hold a current FA Level 1 Emergency First Aid in Football (previously known as FA Basic First Aid for Sport (BFAS) certificate)
• Member of FA Licenced Coaches Club (current and up to date including CPD hours) and Attribute’s

• FA Youth Award (Modules 1, 2 and 3)

Casual Academy Development Centre Goalkeeper Coach

Northampton Town Football Club Academy is looking to recruit a part time Development Centre Goalkeeper Coach to work with the Under 7-14s Goalkeepers.

Roles and Responsibilities
• The role includes overseeing an age specific programme to the Under 7-14s goalkeepers.
• Delivering of age specific syllabus to players in their charge.
• Ensuring each goalkeeper in the U7-14s groups has an Individual Learning Plan that is monitored and periodically reviewed. Assisting the Head of Coaching and Lead phase coaches in developing and delivering the ILPs for these players.

• Completing online and electronic reviewing and assessments of players and sessions.
• Communicating effectively with all team members and reporting back to the Lead Phase Coach.
• Working effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent coaching.

Personal Specification
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
• Proven coaching experience.
• An ability to differentiate tasks based on ability and key stages of player/child development.
• An approachable manner towards young people.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with other department members and coaching staff.
• The job holder may also be required to carry out other duties assigned by the Academy Manager or Head of Coaching/ Recruitment Department as may be time to time reasonably required.
• Willing to work flexible and unsociable hours including evenings and weekends.

• FA Level 2 / UEFA C Licence
• FA Level 2 GK award
• Hold a current FA Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football (previously known as FA Basic First Aid for Sport (BFAS) certificate)

HOME MATCHDAY ROLES

Northampton Town are looking to recruit for a number of roles for home matchdays at Sixfields in the 2021/22 season.

We have both paid and volunteer roles available.

Included amongst the paid roles are programme sellers, all sellers must be aged 16 years and over, while we also have vacancies to work in the ticket office on a matchday.

The duties for the volunteer roles may include assisting groups of young supporters with flag waving, helping out in the IN n OUT Autocentres family area and helping us to host birthday parties for young supporters to the highest standard.

Those interested in any of these roles should be punctual and polite with good customer service skills and be committed to ensuring all supporters receive the best possible experience.

A DBS certificate is required, this can be applied for through the club.

We also have Here To Help volunteer roles advising and guiding supporters. For this role we need volunteers who are approachable, happy and outgoing with an understanding of the stadium.
