Jon Brady was a happy man as he reflected on Saturday’s 2-0 home win over Carlisle.
Kieron Bowie opened the scoring on 33 minutes with the Cobblers third home win on the spin secured by a terrific solo goal from Ali Koiki in stoppage time.
“Conditions made it almost turgid today at times and it was really hard in the first half against the wind,” he said.
“It was pre-determined to give Akin and Ali 45 minutes each and I rested Manny.
“Ali was running everywhere and he showed great pace and composure for his goal.
“We’ve missed him most of the season and we probably overplayed Patrick Brough a little bit. He will come back but he will take a little time to recover.
“Three wins at home on the bounce is really pleasing and that is down to the attitude of the players.
“Its been a big step up to this level and the players have been exceptional.”
