WYCOMBE WANDERERS v NORTHAMPTON TOWN
SATURDAY 16TH MARCH 2024
3:00 PM
ADAMS PARK
SKY BET LEAGUE ONE

12th-placed Northampton Town travel to 14th-placed Wycombe Wanderers in Sky Bet League One on Saturday afternoon.

TEAM NEWS

Defender Liam Moore has been passed fit for the trip to Wycombe Wanderers after being substituted with cramp in midweek.

“Liam is absolutely fine and it was just a bit of cramp with him,” said boss Jon Brady.

“Everyone else came through Tuesday night okay and squad wise we are as we were.

“Sam Hoskins and Jack Sowerby are still building up their match fitness and I think really it takes three 90 minutes to completely get there with that.

“The rotation of our backline has been very frustrating this season, that’s where we have picked up our main injuries and that has been tough.

“Potentially we may look at one or two different things with the side before the end of the season but what personnel we have available dictates that as well.”

Northampton Town narrowly lost 1-0 at home to Wycombe Wanderers in the reverse fixture in September.

The only goal of the contest was scored in the opening five minutes when Luke Leahy’s free-kick was scrambled over the line by Richard Keogh.

The Cobblers dominated the remaining 85 minutes as they searched for an equaliser, but the hosts were left frustrated as Patrick Brough, Sam Hoskins and Sam Sherring all failed to hit the target and Max Stryjek denied Louis Appéré and Hoskins.
