Jon Brady was happy with a 'fantastic point' as he reflected on Tuesday night’s 2-2 draw away at Oxford United.
Tony Springett scored in second half stoppage time as the Cobblers twice came from behind to pick up a hard fought point in front of over 1,250 travelling fans.
“It’s a fantastic point and I’m really pleased with the boys,” he said.
“We were disciplined in our approach tonight and I felt we controlled the game out of possession. We reduced Oxford to very few chances and long shots and when we had our chances we were clinical.
“It was an excellent moment for Tony to get his first league goal and I’m really pleased for him. He’s had to be patient but he made an impact when he came on tonight and it was an excellent finish.
“The fans were our twelfth man again tonight, we are really grateful for their support again and hopefully we have sent them away happy.
“The players' approach and work rate has been excellent, we’ve got it wrong a few times this season but they’ve shown great character again tonight.”
