ALL SET FOR A BUSY MATCHDAY AS WE RETURN TO SIXFIELDS!

Come and join us as we return home!

30 November 2022

After five weeks, it is time to welcome you back to Sixfields on Saturday!

Having been without a home game since October 29th, Northampton Town return to home turf this weekend with Tranmere Rovers the visitors for a game that kicks off at 3pm.

Jon Brady's side go in to this weekend well placed, sat 3rd in Sky Bet League 2. Two strong away performances in recent weeks saw the Cobblers record wins on the road at Gillingham (2-0) and Bradford City (3-1) and they hold a four point lead over fourth place in the table.

There is a lot going on this weekend, so please make sure you join us!

The game is dedicated to the first of the club's two big Community engagement awards in the last few weeks, and we will officially be presented with the Planet League Trophy at half time.

We are supporting the Castle Hill United Reformed Church foodbank in Northampton this Christmas and you can make a donation to support that work at Saturday's game. Official figures show that this year 48% of children on the estate surrounding the church are living in poverty of which 33% are living in severe poverty. A list of items required are here.

On top of that, the club are distributing free hot soup to supporters ahead of Saturday's game with Tranmere Rovers. With the weather getting colder, anyone arriving at the game can claim free hot soup from Northampton Town Community Trust staff outside the West Stand from 2pm onwards on Saturday.

Former striker Steve Massey will be here, signing copies of his new autobiography, Where's My Towel, in Carr's Bar, while we will also be staging a pre-match collection in support of Jesse's Journey. Jesse is a little boy from Northampton who was diagnosed with high risk Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) and his family are fundraising for treatment for him. Please do support if you can.

Also, don't forget those recyclable cups as this is the second game of the scheme that was started at the Newport County game.

Please do join us as part of a huge weekend of football with England in World Cup last sixteen action on Sunday night.

Tickets for the Tranmere game are available now via ntfcdirect.co.uk or from the ticket office. Do join us on Saturday, it is great to be back at home!
