Five Northampton Town loanees were in action on Saturday.

Liam Cross came off the bench in the 64th minute to make his second appearance for Leamington in the Vanarama National League North.

The Brakes were 3-0 down away to Boston United when the midfielder came on, and the scoreline was unchanged at the full-time whistle

Peter Abimbola, Miguel Ngwa and Jack Connor also featured at the weekend, all three starting as AFC Rushden and Diamonds were beaten 2-0 at home to Alvechurch in a battle between two struggling Pitching In Southern League Premier Central sides.

Ngwa’s dribbling caused problems for the Alvechurch defence in the opening 10 minutes, whilst Connor headed into the side-netting early in the second half.

The forward set-up Cobblers teammate Abimbola a few minutes later, but he shot wide from the edge of the area. The midfielder also began a counter-attack on the hour mark which resulted in fellow midfielder Ngwa having an effort blocked.

Connor was substituted in the 67th minute, Abimbola was replaced four minutes later and Ngwa played the full 90.

Elsewhere, youth team captain Dylan Hill was named in the Wellingborough Town starting line up as the Doughboys played out a fiery goalless draw away to Bugbrooke St. Michaels in the uhlsport United Counties League Premier Division South.
