The Cobblers boss previews Eastleigh v Northampton Town
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder says that Friday's trip to Eastleigh is the perfect game for his side.
“There is a lot of work to be done before the start of the season,” he said.
“We need to do better than we did in the second half last Saturday and we’ve got loads to work on.
“We’ve got a big week and a bit now to tidy and tighten a lot of things up.
“Sheffield United and Leyton Orient were both really tough games and you want games in pre-season where you are going to be tested.
“For 75% of those games we did really well and then we just let our standards slip a bit in the second half last Saturday. We have looked at that game and spoked about where we can do better.
“Eastleigh will be another tough test for us and we’ve got a lot to work on in training.”
