Free from suspension Jak McCourt comes back into the squad for Saturday’s trip to Shrewsbury as Matt Taylor serves the final game of his three-match ban.

“It’s good to have Jak available again,” said boss Rob Page.

“Jak and Matty have both been big players for us this season and of course you are going to miss two players like that.

“It wasn’t the formation that cost us the game at Peterborough, it was the way we defended set plays but we will have a look at it and decide what way we go on Saturday. Whatever formation we go with it’s about doing the basics right.

“I thought Sam Hoskins was outstanding on Tuesday night and Paul Anderson gave another good account of himself. Alex Revell and Marc Richards will probably be disappointed with their night’s work and we will have another look at that as well.

“Joel Byrom did okay and I thought he was growing into the game but after last week I didn’t want to risk another sending off. I kicked myself for not bringing Jak off last weekend and I wasn't going to do the same again.

“I explained that to him at half-time and my reasons for bringing him off and he understood."
