The Cobblers boss on Northampton Town 1 Wycombe Wanderers 0
Northampton Town boss Chris Wilder, reflecting on Saturday’s 1-0 win against Wycombe, the Cobblers' record-breaking ninth successive league victory.
“It’s a big result and it was a good performance,” he said.
“We had to dig in a little bit at times and it wasn’t a vintage free flowing performance but it’s a fantastic result.
“Wycombe pushed us all the way and we had to work exceptionally hard to get the win but it’s a massive, massive three points.
“I’m proud of the players, they are a special group and they are ruthless and relentless in pursuit of what they want.
“We weren’t at our best today but for the players to come through another really tough challenge after the games we’ve had this week is a tremendous effort.
