Chris Wilder is set to have an unchanged squad for the visit of Cheltenham Town on Saturday.

“It is likely to be the same 11 and possibly the same 18,” confirmed the Cobblers boss.

“Marc Richards has worked extremely hard and he was desperate to get back. He was the league’s leading goalscorer before he got injured and it’s a massive boost for us to have him back.

“Marc will be on the bench again on Saturday and Shwan Jalal will be playing in the next couple of games.

“I thought Shwan was excellent on Tuesday night and he was positive in everything he did. We know what Matt Duke can do and this is a chance for us to look at Shwan.

“We’ve got players under contract for next season and they will form the nucleus of the team going forward but we’ve still got some tough decisions to make on the players who are out of contract. There are still three big games to play and there is still a chance for the players to try and stamp themselves on the team.

“Borderline decisions can be changed and there is still time for those players to make an impression and maybe turn a don’t know into a yes or on the other side turn a don’t know into a no.”
