Rob Page reflects on Northampton Town v West Bromwich Albion
Rob Page was a proud man as he reflected on Tuesday night’s EFL Cup second round tie against West Brom. The game finished 2-2 after extra-time, the Cobblers winning 4-3 on penalties.
“I’m really proud of the group tonight,” he said.
“We showed true character, the performance was one that I was very, very proud of and that’s near enough to where we want to get to.
“Kenji showed great character with his penalty, he’s had a tough few games but he has got to take confidence from tonight.
“It was a real group effort and our discipline and shape tonight was outstanding.
“The supporters saw what we are trying to do and we enjoy the moment but our focus now straight away is Coventry on Saturday.”
