Northampton Town's mathematical safety in League 1 can be confirmed on Saturday and the possibilites are as follows...
A win or a draw at Bury on Saturday will ensure the Cobblers League 1 survival.
The Cobblers will also be safe, irrespective of the result at Bury, if Port Vale lose against Bolton Wanderers or Shrewsbury Town lose against Southend United.
If the Cobblers lose, and both Port Vale and Shrewsbury win, the battle will move on to the final day of the season, providing Port Vale beat Walsall in their game in hand next Tuesday.
