As a then member of the Northampton Town Academy, Max was added to the first team squad for a game at Shrewsbury Town in September 2020 before making his first team debut away at Crewe in December that same year.
Max signed his first professional contract in May 2021. Northampton born, he is the son of former Cobblers defender Sean.
