JON BRADY READY FOR WEEKEND WYCOMBE TEST

The views of the Cobblers boss

14 March 2024

The games keep coming, and manager Jon Brady has been looking forward to Saturday’s trip to Wycombe Wanderers.

“Wycombe recruited strongly in January and they have picked up some really good results including beating Peterborough at home 5-2,” he said.

“They are very dangerous at home and we have to make sure we are strong and solid going there.

“We can then look at opening them up but it’s going to be a tough game and I feel they are a side who have improved a lot.

“We want to be defensively sound but we don’t want to take away from our attacking prowess and it’s about getting that balance right.

“For the most part over the last two months I feel offensively we have been quite free scoring, we changed our shape against Blackpool but defensively I thought we looked strong and we used the ball well, we just could have found better solutions.

“It was a frustrating night but as I said afterwards they are a very good side who have ripped some teams apart. The pitch was heavy as well with all the rain that morning which made it tough for both sides but we didn’t take anything from the game and we have to learn from that and move on.”
