JON BRADY - 'A TOUGH NIGHT'

The views of the Cobblers boss

5 March 2024

Jon Brady gave an honest assessment as he reflected on the 5-1 defeat at Peterborough United.

“I’m not going to paper over any cracks and we have to hold our hands up tonight,” he said.

“Defensively we weren’t good enough and the goals we gave away were poor. We needed to defend better and be more solid.

“We were very good against Peterborough earlier in the season but tonight was a bad night for us. We weren’t at our best tonight but Peterborough were excellent and I have to give them credit.

“The support we had was great again and this scoreline really hurts. We’ve had some fantastic moments this season, we knew coming into this league we might have results like this but you don’t want it to be against your local rivals.

“This level is a learning curve as we knew it would be and we have to dust ourselves down from this and bounce back at Cambridge.

“I’m hurting, I know the players are hurting and we have to be ready to put things right on Saturday.”
