Jon Brady was pleased to take a point as he reflected on Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Charlton.
Substitute Louis Appere levelled for the Cobblers ten minutes from time after Karoy Anderson had given the Addicks an early lead.
“It was really hard for us to get out in the first fifteen twenty minutes and I felt it was a poor goal we conceded,” he said.
“Tactically we kept tweaking things because we just couldn’t get out but Charlton are without doubt in a false position and to take four points against them this season is a terrific effort.
“We want to be better but we were playing against a high level opposition today and we have to take the point as a positive.
“We finished the game strong and it looked a lot more like us towards the end.
“Jordan Willis had to come off at half-time and we will have to see what the situation is with him. He’s been a warrior for us this season and hopefully its nothing too serious.
“Everyone is looking forward to Tuesday night, Peterborough have done well this season, we won’t fear them but there is a lot of respect there. It’s a derby and we want to go there and put in a really good performance.”
