Sam Sherring is still sidelined due to the injury he picked up at Stevenage, Saturday is also likely to come a bit too soon for Sam Hoskins who has missed the last two matches. The Cobblers will be without goalkeeper Max Thompson as his loan from Newcastle United has now expired but Lee Burge is now fit again and expected to return to the side.

Northampton Town lost 2-1 away to Wigan Athletic in the reverse fixture in August 2023.
The Cobblers opened the scoring midway through the first half when Sam Hoskins curled a free-kick over the wall and into the top corner.
The Latics equalised going into the final quarter-of-an-hour as Charlie Hughes headed home Tom Pearce’s corner.
Callum McManaman completed the turnaround late on with a strike from 20 yards.
