Jon Brady said his side had suffered a 'difficult afternoon' as he reflected on Saturday’s 2-0 home defeat to Shrewsbury Town.
“It was a very difficult afternoon for us, it looked like we lacked energy and Tuesday night probably took a lot out of us,” he said.
“Shrewsbury had the new manager bounce and in all fairness they deserved that win today.
“We’ve had a good period overall and we won’t get too down about today, we will just dust ourselves down from it and look to next week at Portsmouth.
“The injury situation is tough, we had eight players unavailable today and Aaron McGowan had to come off today as well. Hopefully we will get some players back soon but it is very frustrating at the moment.”
