Northampton Town are pleased to announce the formation of the Fan Advisory Board (FAB).
The Fan Advisory Board provides a new forum for fan group representatives and other supporters from different sections of the club's fanbase. This new board is a natural progression of the club's ongoing commitment to supporter engagement and has been developed by democratically elected supporters representative, Tom Cliffe, who will lead the board going forward.
Tom Cliffe said: “This is something I have wanted to do for a while to assist the role of the supporters representative and provide a platform for communication between the supporters and the club.
“I have spoken to and researched other clubs and discussed within the FSA fan directors panel about how other clubs advisory boards work and have been given some great feedback. As we all know the fans are so important here at the club so communication and representation are very important to everyone.”
The Northampton Town Fan Advisory Board will meet a number of times a year to seek and reflect supporter opinion. The Board will be a key mechanism for two-way dialogue between supporters and the club.
The FAB will consist of up to 12 members with invites being sent to each of the following groups;
Her Game Too
Sixfields Travel Club
NTFC Unofficial Facebook page
Teyn Away Days
Shoe Army Facebook page
Cobblers Independent Supporters Club
Hotel End messageboard
It's All Cobblers To Me podcast
Northampton Town FC Hotelders - to his Horse Facebook page
There will also be spaces available for individual supporters or other groups who wish to be nominated and anyone interested should contact Tom Cliffe via email at cliffetom@hotmail.com.
At this point all interested parties should be aged 16 years or over but the club actively encourages applications from supporters of all backgrounds.
