The Northampton Town Football Club Community Trust are delighted to confirm that Joe Gaskell has been named as the Cobblers’ Community Captain!
The Community Captain award is part of the Premier League’s More Than A Game campaign, which gives clubs at all levels of the game across England and Wales the opportunity to collectively highlight the impact of their work within local communities.
Gaskell works for the Community Trust as a Senior Education and Sport Mentor in the Schools Department and a Community Coach in the Women’s and Girls’ Department. He was delighted to have been nominated for the award.
“I’ve seen a lot of coverage about the campaign around the EFL, and it’s brilliant that I’m part of it now,” he said.
“I’m always passionate about my work, and this will give me an extra boost and a lot of motivation.
“Hopefully it inspires everyone around me to keep working hard and making a huge impact throughout our local community.”
