LOAN WATCH

A look at the Wednesday night action for our young players out on loan or work experience

3 April 2024

Northampton Town loanee James Dadge played for Banbury United on Wednesday night.

The Puritans narrowly lost 2-1 at home to Hereford in a rearranged Vanarama National League North fixture which was originally scheduled for Good Friday and postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Dadge made a fingertip save to deny a curled shot late in the first half, but the goalkeeper was unable to prevent his side from falling to a defeat against their nine-player opponents.

Two former Northampton strikers were also involved on an action-packed evening.

Andy Williams scored both of the Bulls’ goals either side of half-time, whilst Kevin Wilson, who also previously managed the Cobblers, was sent-off as his side pushed for an equaliser deep in added-time.

Dadge’s temporary club are 10 points from safety with five games remaining.
