Jon Brady said there was much to be pleased about despite being frustrated by the result as he reflected on Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.

“It is quite tough to come away from that game with nothing,” he said.

“I thought it was a poor decision for the free kick that lead to their goal, we didn’t defend it right but it should have also been given as off-side.

“We dominated the game in terms of chances and we played some sublime football in the first half.

“We pulled them apart and got into the box time and time again but just lacked that execution.

“Even in the second half we were inches away from putting the ball in the back of the net but we have to take the positives from the performance.

“I’m a bit perplexed as to how we haven’t won that game but credit to Wycombe they nicked a win at Bristol Rovers last week and they have done the same again today.

“Everyone is a bit frustrated but Wycombe defended for their lives.

“I will let the dust settle from today and then have a bit of a reset. We will look at the squad to see who needs minutes and Tuesday night will be a chance for them.”
