Jon Brady is weighing up his team selection options for Tuesday's EFL Trophy tie with Chelsea under 21s at Sixfields.
“We had to look after Shaun McWilliams on Saturday, especially with Jack Sowerby and Will Hondermarck being out," he said.
“Ben Fox can only have limited minutes at the moment and that does leave us a bit short in that area, but Peter Abimbola is in the frame.
“We have to protect individuals and it’s the same with Jack but we are hoping he won’t be out for too long.
“Max Dyche has picked up an injury at Aldershot and he will be out for a little while. That’s unfortunate and he will be missed.”
