Four Northampton Town loanees were involved on Saturday afternoon.
Defender Josh Tomlinson and midfielder Peter Abimbola both started for St. Ives Town who lost 1-0 away to Stratford Town in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central.
Elsewhere, Jacob Scott and Reuben Wyatt were named on the bench as AFC Rushden and Diamonds were beaten 2-0 away to Sutton Coldfield Town in the Northern Premier League Midlands.
The youth team midfield pair joined the club on work experience ahead of the weekend’s fixtures and were both substituted on in the second half, Wyatt playing the last half-an-hour and Scott the final seven minutes.
