Two Northampton Town Football and Education Programme teams were in action on Wednesday.

The Women’s squad won 5-4 at home to AFC Sudbury in the National Football Youth League South Premier Women.

The Cobblers trailed at half-time but braces from Keeley Jackson and Alex Dicks and another goal from Mia Richards secured a comeback victory over their top-of-the-table opponents, who had been unbeaten in all competitions ahead of this round of fixtures.

Elsewhere, the Elite squad won 3-1 away to Queens Park Rangers in the NFYL South Premier Division.

Romeo Ingman, Daniel Collin-Kolowale and Rojus Kuzminskas netted the Cobblers’ goals as they secured a third consecutive win in the league.
