As part of the club’s pre-season plans, Northampton Town will again be spending some time at a training camp in Scotland in the build up to the 2023/24 Sky Bet League One season.
The Cobblers first team squad will be returning to University of St Andrews, where they spent a week during last summer’s pre-season, from Sunday July 2nd to Saturday July 8th.
The University, famous for offering some of the best sports facilities in Scotland, has six football pitches along with a strength and conditioning suite, gym and fitness suites, video analysis and meeting rooms and those facilities impressed Jon Brady last pre-season.
“We had a really good week there last summer, the facilities are top class and we are really pleased we can go back again this year,” he said.
“The plan for the week will be plenty of hard work and going away like this is an important part of our pre-season build up.
“We won’t be playing any games while we are away, the focus will be on training and working hard and getting us to the stage of being ready to play some games when we return back home.”
