James Whiting has provided an update on training ground improvements and says season ticket sales have spiked since the Cobblers promotion to Sky Bet League One last week.
“In terms of our training facilities it’s been well documented that we have put a lot of money into some training pitches and a new lease is about to be signed for a new training centre at the training ground," he said.
“When you back that up with the coaching staff we have and the players we have with a strong academy the club is in a strong position.
“Loan players have played a key part over the last two years and we are building a good reputation within the game for developing young players and being a good place for Premier League players to send players to.
“We feel in a much stronger position than we have ever been and we are excited for next season.
“I know the make-up of the league is not certain yet but already we know that there are some really big teams in League One and some good local games to look forward to.
“It’s an exciting league and we feel in a really good place to have a good go at it.
“The hard work has started already but that will really start to ramp up in a week or so.
“There has been a huge spike in season ticket sales since our promotion and I think that excitement is echoed with the supporters.
“We’ve still got a couple of weeks before the discount deadline and I’d encourage anyone to buy a season ticket now for what should prove to be an exciting season ahead.”
