Manager Jon Brady says that although last Saturday’s result against Bradford City went against the Cobblers, he was pleased with the way his team performed.
“I didn’t feel the result on Saturday reflected our performance and how we took the game to Bradford, especially in the second half. Unfortunately we couldn’t get that second goal which was disappointing but overall we were pleased with how we played,” he said.
“We know on Monday that Tranmere will be strong opponents and we know it will be tough but we’ve got a goal to try and get across the line with and we will be working extremely hard to do that.
“We’ve been fighting for this all last season and all this season.
“We will be preparing hard to be at our best on Monday and we will be putting everything into the game to try and win. We will be doing everything in our power to try and get the result we need on Monday.”
