A look back at the weekend action for our players out on loan or work experience

Seven Northampton Town loanees were in action for their temporary clubs on Saturday afternoon.

Liam Cross started and scored for Leamington who secured an important 4-1 win at home to Curzon Ashton in the Vanarama National League North.

The midfielder netted the opening goal early on and lasted until the final 10 minutes as his side eased to victory.

In the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central, Miguel Ngwa was a second-half substitute as Rushall Olympic won 3-0 at home to Nuneaton Borough in a battle between two play-off chasing sides.

Meanwhile, Dylan Hill featured for Harborough Town who narrowly lost 1-0 away to St. Neots Town in the Northern Premier League Midlands.

Finally, four Cobblers youngsters played in the uhlsport United Counties League Premier Division South.

Tommy Curry starred in Cogenhoe United’s dramatic 8-2 win away to bottom-of-the-table Long Buckby, Brad Smith-Howes and Kenny Ndefo both turned out for Wellingborough Town who won 1-0 away to second-bottom Rothwell Corinthians, and Rico Duggan’s Desborough Town won by the same score-line away to Easington Sports.

Forward Curry played a key role in four of his side’s goals, marking his first Cooks start with a hat-trick and an assist.
