Jon Brady has called on the Cobblers players to replicate the level of performance from Tuesday night when Crewe Alexandra visit Sixfields on Saturday.
“We need another big performance,” he said.
“Crewe are a team that have really improved since Christmas, they’ve had some very tough games recently and they haven’t lost many.
“We will have to be at our best to get a result at home and we really need the fans right behind us again to kick ourselves on.
“With ten games left you can potentially see the finish line but you have to stay focused and just look at the next game.
“We had a good blend and balance in the way that we played on Tuesday night, defensively we looked strong for the most part and we created a lot of chances. Overall it was really good and as I said after the game the players who came in who have been on the periphery did really well.
“We’ve got a good young group that are really fighting for this football club and I hope the fans can see that. There are going to be some games where it doesn’t quite go to plan but in the main we are still there or thereabouts.
“We’ve drawn probably more games than we would have liked but you aren’t going to get everything your own way. We have been in every single game and the fight and never give in attitude of the group has been relentless. I think the fans have seen that especially in the last two games and I think that has galvanised the players.
“The fans have such a big part to play for us and we need every single one of them.”
