JON BRADY DELIGHTED FOR PLAYERS AND SUPPORTERS AS COBBLERS BEAT MANSFIELD TOWN

The thoughts of the Cobblers boss

14 March 2023

Jon Brady praised his side following Tuesday night’s 1-0 home win over promotion rivals Mansfield Town, Sam Hoskins' first half penalty keeping the Cobblers firmly in the hunt for automatic promotion with ten games to play.

“I’m really pleased for the players and our supporters tonight, it was a strong performance and it’s a big win,” he said.

“We have got a lot of players missing and we had ten out tonight but the players who have been on the periphery have come in and done really well.

“Our organisation was excellent and that lead to us being able to create a lot of chances. It was a disciplined performance and we looked connected all over the pitch.

“It was a great run from Louis Appere to win the penalty and Sam was there for us again when we needed him. It takes courage to take a penalty and Sam stepped up for the team again tonight.

“I’m not going to go over the top tonight, it was a really strong performance but we have still got another ten games to go and we need another big performance against Crewe on Saturday.”
