Sam Sherring is pleased to be back at work with the start of pre-season training this week.
“We’ve had a nice long break but it’s good to be back and to see everyone again," he said.
“It’s good to get back into it, it’s been hard work but that’s pre-season.
“I wasn’t quite right at the end of last season but it was a case of needs must. I’m all good now and I’m ready to go.
“It’s always good to get away in pre-season, I think it really helps the team to bond and it helps to build those relationships.
“I really enjoyed it last season, it will be tough but it will be good.
“Pre-season is hard but that’s what you need to make sure you are as prepared as possible for the season ahead.
“The squad is quite settled, we know how the Gaffer wants us to set up and play and I think that is a good thing. A bit of stability is good for the club and the experience of last season will stand us in good stead.
“Some people will see us as underdogs this season and I think that is a nice little challenge for us. We aren’t going to be pushovers and we want to stamp our authority on the league.”
