Patrick Brough is pleased with how he has settled in at Sixfields.
This summer's first new arrival has enjoyed his first few days as the squad prepare to head to Scotland.
“The first few days have been really good, we had a couple of days of testing and then to get back out on the grass was nice," he said.
“You can do all the gym work you like but it’s great when you get out on the pitch with all the lads.
“The training pitches are really good and when the weather is like this you can’t complain.
“The main aim of pre-season is to get yourself fit and ready for the season, I don’t mind it and after all the years I’ve done it for its just one of those things you have to get on with.
“I’ve never been to Scotland and I’m really looking forward to the week up there with all the lads.
“I’m the only new face so far, I’m sure there will be more but being the only one has been fine.
“When you come to a new club it’s always nice when you no someone and I knew Aaron so that has helped.”
