WELCOME TO SIXFIELDS, D'MARGIO WRIGHT-PHILLIPS

Stoke City winger makes Cobblers switch

31 January 2023

Northampton Town have signed Stoke City winger D'Margio Wright-Phillips on loan for the rest of the season.

21 year old Wright-Phillips, who has played for England at under 16 and under 17 level, has made 20 appearances for the Potters, scoring twice.

Seven of those appearances have come in the Championship this season, scoring against Middlesbrough in August.

"D'Margio is an exciting talent who we are pleased to welcome to the club," said manager Jon Brady.

"He is quick, direct and can take on his man and deliver crosses in to the area.

"He is a very attacking player and someone I think the fans will enjoy watching. He is the sort who can excite a crowd.

"He has been in and around the first team at Stoke City for a while and we thank them for loaning him to us. They know our reputation for helping to improve young players.

"We want to be good for D'Margio and in turn we believe he can help us."

D'Margio is the son of Shaun Wright-Phillips and the grandson of Ian Wright.
