Midfielder Jack Sowerby has become the latest Northampton Town player to sign a new contract, keeping him at Sixfields until the summer of 2025.
Sowerby, who arrived at the club from Fleetwood Town in 2020, has so far made 91 appearances for the Cobblers and is a player who manager Jon Brady rates highly.
"This is more good news for the club," he said.
"Jack is a player who goes about his business in a quiet and efficient way and is someone who is very important to us.
"He fits in well with the other midfielders we have at the club and he was another player we were very keen to keep.
"On and off the field, we are building a culture at the club that players want to be a part of. It is no coincidence that players like Jack, Jon Guthrie, Mitch Pinnock and Aaron McGowan have committed to new contracts.
"This gives us stability and certainty and increases the core group of good players who are under contract with the club."
Sowerby himself added: "I am very pleased. It was a no brainer for me, as I am really enjoying my time here.
"There are only good people at this club - including the Chairman, the staff and the players - I am really enjoying being a part of things here and hopefully we can continue our progress. I also feel I have a good relationship with the supporters and that is important to me too.
