Four Northampton Town youngsters have been in action for their loan sides in the first two days of 2023.

Later on, Miguel Ngwa scored the winner as AFC Rushden and Diamonds won 2-1 at home to St. Ives Town in the Southern League Premier Central, ending their seven-game losing run in the process.
The midfielder had a deflected shot held by the goalkeeper before smashing home a loose ball with five minutes remaining.
Peter Abimbola was named in the starting line up alongside fellow midfielder Ngwa, and he had created two chances with forward passes earlier in the contest.
