Six Northampton Town youngsters were involved for their loan clubs on Saturday.

Liam Cross played 77 minutes as Leamington drew 0-0 at home to Kidderminster Harriers in the Vanarama National League North.

Fellow midfielder Peter Abimbola played 68 minutes as AFC Rushden and Diamonds lost 3-1 away to Ilkeston Town in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central.

In the same division, James Dadge and Ayo Lekuti made their debuts for St. Ives Town and Bromsgrove Sporting respectively.

Dadge’s Saints won 2-0 at home to Mickleover, and the goalkeeper was well-positioned to deny promising chances midway through the first half and on the hour mark. He almost recorded a late assist with a drop-kick that played an attacker through on goal, but his teammate was beaten to the ball by his opposite number.

Lekuti’s Rouslers lost 2-0 away to Hitchin Town, the defender also coming close to an assist when he linked up with a teammate whose shot went over the crossbar after a quarter-of-an-hour.

Elsewhere, Josh Tomlinson was in action as Harborough Town lost 2-0 at home to Stamford in the Northern Premier League Midlands.

Finally, Dylan Hill featured for Wellingborough Town who won 2-1 at home to Eynesbury Rovers in the uhlsport United Counties League Premier Division South.
