JON BRADY LOOKING FORWARD TO MEETING FAMILIAR OPPONENTS ON SATURDAY

The views of the Cobblers boss

Jon Brady is looking forward to locking horns with Mansfield Town once again when the Stags come to Sixfields on Saturday.

This will be the fifth meeting between the sides in the last nine months, with all of the games being closely fought affairs.

“We have to focus on our performance,” he said.

“We need to get back to our consistent best and once we are at that we will start picking up results.

“Their team might be quite different to the team we played last month but we applied ourselves really well in that game and I felt it was a game we should have had more out of.

“We’ve had some really strong affairs with Mansfield over the last few years and I don’t expect Saturday to be any different.

“It’s going to be a tough game.

“We created some really good chances in the game at Stockport but their keeper made some fantastic saves and sometimes you just have to put your hands up to that.

“It was unfortunate for us in the end but games are won and lost in both boxes and the goals we conceded is concerning. We were without key personnel and that did hurt us but we have got to tighten up.”
