Jon Brady was a happy man as he reflected on Saturday’s 2-0 away win at Barrow where second half goals from Ben Fox and substitute Shaun McWilliams saw the Cobblers maintain their place in the top three.
“First half we were a little bit rusty but that was understandable with the lack of training we’ve had because of the weather,” he said.
“We were a lot more confident with what we did in the second half and we looked a lot more purposeful.
“We had a strong backline and having Jon Guthrie back was a big boost.
“Ali Koiki was exceptional but we still have a lot of injuries and unfortunately it looks like we have lost Kieron Bowie for at least two months.
“We don’t want to make snap decisions but the dynamic might change from where we were looking at earlier in the transfer window.
“We aren’t going to be rushed into doing anything but we will look at it.
“We feel we have a strong unit but we need everybody fit.”
