The midfielder almost reached a long ball in the first half and curled a shot just wide in the second as his side were rewarded for taking the game to their promotion-chasing opponents.
In the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central, Ayo Lekuti played the full 90 minutes as Bromsgrove Sporting won 2-0 at home to Kings Langley.
Elsewhere in the same division, Josh Tomlinson started as Barwell lost 2-0 at home to top-of-the-table Tamworth and James Dadge was in goal for 10-man St. Ives Town who lost away to Alvechurch.
Meanwhile, Dylan Hill featured for Harborough Town who won 1-0 at home to Cambridge City whilst Kai O’Keeffe’s Daventry Town lost 2-1 at home to Chasetown in the Northern Premier League Midlands.
Finally, Brad Smith-Howes, Kenny Ndefo and Rico Duggan were all involved in the uhlsport United Counties League Premier Division South, the latter two scoring for their respective teams.
Defender Smith-Howes and forward Ndefo both turned out for Wellingborough Town who secured an impressive 8-0 win at home to Lutterworth Town, whilst midfielder Duggan scored the winner, his first goal in senior football, as Desborough Town won 2-1 at home to struggling Long Buckby.
