This brand new role, funded by the Premier League Fans Fund, builds on the club and Community Trust's ongoing commitment to improving the matchday experience for existing fans, and encouraging new supporters to be part of the club.
The Fan Engagement role will specifically aim to build relationships with under-represented groups across Northamptonshire to identify and break down barriers to encourage more people to engage with Northampton Town Football Club men’s and women’s teams and the wider programmes of Northampton Town FC Community Trust.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about further making the football club a welcoming place for all, committing to improve experiences and connecting communities. Through this exciting new role, the Fan Engagement Officer will deliver a combination of outreach work and matchday based activities that encourage more people from under-represented groups across the community to attend matchdays at the football club, to take part in Community Trust activities and to become future fans.
You’ll play a key part in helping us to firstly learn more about the current barriers to accessing the football club and its community programmes and to then develop ways to support and overcome these, working closely with other staff from the club and Community Trust.
The expectation will be that the role increases community participation in matchdays, club and charity activities so the role will require daytime, evening, and weekend work as a norm.
