Jon Brady was a happy man as he reflected on Saturday’s 1-0 away win at Cheltenham Town, Sam Hoskins late winner clinching all three points for the Cobblers as they made it back-to-back victories in Sky Bet League One.
“Sam has a lovely knack of scoring late winners and it is great to get the win today away from home,” he said.
“Cheltenham are a team we are probably expected to compete with but I felt we dominated the ball, we wobbled for a little spell in the second half but the changes we made helped us.
“We are still taking too many touches at times but that will come and we’ve hit the woodwork again today. I also felt we could have had a penalty but overall I thought the ref had a good game and we’ve got the win.
“We are working to the strengths of the team, we are still looking for that final edge in the box but it feels good at the moment. We are getting players back and we are getting stronger.”
