Jon Brady has again praised the commitment and resilience of his squad as he looks ahead to Saturday’s trip to Carlisle United.
“The players are putting their bodies on the line for the football club and what they are giving is incredible,” he said.
“Saturday will be a great occasion and we will be trying everything we can to come away with a good result.
“Carlisle have had an excellent season and they will be looking forward to it as well.
“Both teams have earned the right to be there or thereabouts and it will be an interesting game.
“It’ll be two exciting sides having a real go and I’m sure it will be a great game for the neutral but we want to make sure it’s a great game for us.
“Our record has been really good against the top eight but it’s about what happens on the day and we are preparing to be at our best.
“Monday was all about the result but I thought the performance was very good as well. We were good on the ball, I was disappointed with the sloppy goal we conceded but to fight back after that in the way that we did was very special. The goal was special from Will and we saw the fantastic mentality of the whole group.
“The Newport game was a bit of a blip and it was only in the last few minutes where we got into a bit of a mess when we had a player off the pitch and we were chasing the game. The group are generally really receptive to what we want them to do and they are always up for the fight.
“It is all hands to the pump and everyone is giving their all to help us sustain our push for promotion and we will need that right through to the end of the season."
