Jon Brady says the squad are enjoying a good week on the training ground and in positive mood ahead of Saturday’s trip to Gillingham.
“If you look at the game at Chesterfield I felt we deserved to come out of it with at least a replay but that’s cup football,” he said.
“We created chances and hit the woodwork twice but if you don’t take your chances in cup football you can go out and that’s what happened.
“We’ve got to make sure going forward that our energy and tempo don’t drop, we need to keep within our principles and make sure our structure is strong.
“There is a bit of fine tuning that we need to do and we are working on that currently.
“We are third in the league, everyone wants to talk about our recent run but when you look at it we have beaten the team who are second away from home and we’ve gone away and got a draw with ten men at the team top of the table.
“There are going to be highs and lows throughout any season and our job is to stay level headed.”
