Jon Brady says the Cobblers squad are in a good place as he previews the play-off semi-final first leg at Mansfield Town on Saturday night.
“We are really good, the boys are focused and we are ready for the task ahead,” he said.
“In football you can’t look back on those what if moments and we have no regrets. We’ve been consistent this season to achieve what we have achieved so far but we just got pipped at the post.
“We’ve got a second chance and we are not wasting any time now thinking about what has happened, our full focus is on Mansfield.
“This is a tight group, we have had a lot of setbacks throughout this season and we’ve fought back from them.
“A lot of people had written us off to even get to the play-offs and as I’ve said before we are at our best when we have been pushed to the limit and are backs are up against the wall.
“From the outset this season our supporters wanted a team that they would be proud of and that they could see giving their all for this football club and our town.
“Over a 46 game period these players have been exceptional, they have given absolutely everything and I feel our town and our supporters are hugely appreciative of all the efforts we have given.
“We have created a strong connection right the way through the club and the fans, I don’t need picking up but it was a lovely touch from them that they were doing that after the game at Barrow. We appreciate their effort and we are trying to give everything we’ve got back to them."
