JON BRADY REFLECTS ON WALSALL POINT

The views of the Cobblers boss

Jon Brady felt Tuesday was a 'game of two halves' as he reflected the 1-1 home draw with Walsall.

“It was the classic game of two halves tonight,” he said.

“We were very dominant in the first half, we just didn’t turn the amount of chances we had into more goals.

“That was unfortunate because it would have given us more control of the game and Walsall came at us in the second half.

“We had a chance right at the end with Sam Hoskins when he hit the post and I thought it was in but it just wasn’t to be.

“We played some good football in the first half and really opened Walsall up but in the second half they really pushed back at us. Michael Flynn has done a great job since taking over and they have beaten some top sides. They are a real threat and they will give anyone a good game.

“There are things for us to build on but we should have been more ruthless in the first half and put the game to bed.

“At the start of the season I don’t think many people expected us to be in this position but now that we are we have raised the bar of expectation. No game in this league is easy to win and I’ve said before it’s a very even league.”
