Jon Brady was pleased as he reflected on Tuesday night’s 2-1 away win at Stevenage where goals in either half from Aaron McGowan and Mitch Pinnock ultimately clinched the three points for the Cobblers who maintained their second-place position in Sky Bet League 2.
“It was good to bounce back after the weekend,” he said.
“I thought we started the game well and we were in control for long periods.
“They gave it everything they’ve got, they are fighting for their lives but we stood strong.
“Chanka Zimba had a couple of chances when he came on but it’s tough to come on in a game like that when you have been out for six weeks and he will be better for it.
“The fans were brilliant again tonight, it’s never easy on a work night but they were right behind us and we were really humbled by their support again.
“Bristol Rovers will be another big game, we are looking forward to it and hopefully we can get another big crowd in.”
