JON BRADY FRUSTRATED BY CARLISLE LOSS

The views of the Cobblers boss

12 March 2022

Jon Brady was a frustrated man as he looked back on Saturday's 2-1 loss at Carlisle United.

The game’s decisive moment came in second half stoppage time when Jordan Gibson scored from the penalty spot after Paul Lewis’s header had cancelled out Tobi Sho-Silva’s opener.

“I’m totally frustrated by the decision for the free-kick in the lead up to the penalty,” he said.

“We fought hard to get back into the game and we got into some really good areas today, especially in the first half but we couldn’t quite put the ball in the back of the net.

“We pushed for the winner and at 1-1 they were rocking but we’ve hurt ourselves today.

“We went for the win today and we were nice and positive. We can’t do anything now about what happened at the end and our focus moves on to Tuesday.

“The result today is disappointing but I thought we played some good stuff at times and we have got to move on.

“We are still up there, the picture keeps changing for everybody but we have to keep it positive and focus all our energy now towards Stevenage."
