The plaque marking the formation of Northampton Town Football Club is now proudly on display outside the Jekyll & Hyde pub on the Wellingborough Road in Northampton.
On the club's 125th birthday on March 9th, Chairman Kelvin Thomas unveiled the plaque at the Jekyll & Hyde, previously known as the Princess Royal Inn, which was the site of the club's formation on 9 March 1897.
"We are very proud that the plaque is now up and on display in the very heart of Northampton," he said.
"Anyone walking up or down the Wellingborough Road will be able to see the plaque, marking the site of the club's formation in 1897.
"Our birthday celebrations will continue with a number of events taking place throughout the year but it was important for us to mark the place and time of our creation in this way.
"This is a club with a proud history and we are honoured to be able to mark that history, not just for now but for future generations too."
The club would like to thank Paul McManus from McManus Pubs for their support.
